Mountpark Logistics, a leading developer of industrial and logistics property, today announced that it has leased 96,930 sq ft at Mountpark Baldonnell II to Kellihers Electrical. Known as Unit G, the new logistics centre is the final building on the 1.3 million sq ft Mountpark Baldonnell campus, which is now fully let.
Kellihers Electrical, which has been part of the multinational Rexel Group since 2006, will trade as Rexel Ireland from its new facility. With 24 branches across the country, Kellihers Electrical is Ireland’s leading electrical products wholesaler, working with brands such as Dimplex, Dyson, Philips, Robus and Schneider Electric.
“We were hugely impressed with the quality of facilities available at Mountpark Baldonnell and with the location, which gives us easy access to our national branch network,” said Ciaran Foley, CEO of Rexel Ireland and Kellihers Electrical.
“The investment in this distribution centre shows the Rexel Group’s commitment to our business in Ireland. With this new facility we can build our market-leading customer service through improved delivery and product availability. The unit will also help us to meet our ambitious sustainability goals and will play a key role in the development of the Rexel business in Ireland.”
Mountpark Baldonnell has already attracted occupiers such as Amazon, DB Schenker, DSV, Home Store + More, and United Drug.
“We are delighted to welcome Rexel Ireland to Unit G, which completes the development at Mountpark Baldonnell, “ said Brett Huxley, Development Director, Mountpark UK & Ireland. “We look forward to working closely with the team as it develops the building into its Irish distribution hub.
“All seven units at Baldonnell have been let prior to practical completion, which is a testament to the quality and sustainability credentials of each facility and to the exceptional external environment that has been created around the campus.”
CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield were joint agents for Mountpark Baldonnell.
