Introduction

Mountpark Realco Cooperatief NL UA is the management holding company of the group of companies that individually have either employees, consultants and/or officers (‘’employees’’) in various jurisdictions that provide services and operate the business (collectively referred to as “Mountpark” or “the Company”). Mountpark is a leading European logistics property development and investment company, that operates with the independence, flexibility, and expertise to deliver buildings tailored to customers’ requirements. Committed to ethical labour practices, Mountpark actively works to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking across all aspects of its operations and supply chains. As a leading developer of logistics and industrial real estate, the Company recognises its responsibility to ensure transparency and uphold ethical standards. This policy applies to all individuals working for, or on behalf of Mountpark in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, suppliers, external consultants, third-party representatives, and/or other stakeholders.

Policy Statement

This statement outlines the steps Mountpark takes to prevent slavery and human trafficking within its business and supply chains, maintaining compliance with The Modern Slavery Act (MSA) 2015, including Section 54 of the MSA: Transparency in Supply Chains Regulations 2015.

Company Structure, Activities and Supply Chains

Mountpark specialises in developing high-quality logistics and industrial facilities across Europe. This business involves extensive collaboration with construction contractors, material suppliers, and service providers. Given the nature of the industry, Mountpark acknowledges the potential risks associated with subcontracted labour, temporary workers, and suppliers operating in regions with varying labour standards.

The Company’s supply chain comprises direct and indirect relationships, including, without limitation, vendors, subcontractors, manufacturing facilities, distribution centres, distributors, and wholesalers. As part of its duty of care, Mountpark requires its key and significant organisations providing goods or services to adhere to its Supply Chain Code of Conduct and Modern Slavery Policy, ensuring clear contractual expectations regarding human rights safeguards.

Policies and Governance Related to Slavery and Human Trafficking

Mountpark has implemented policies and governance frameworks designed to prevent modern slavery, including:

  • Modern Slavery Policy – Outlines the commitment to ethical labour practices and supplier expectations.
  • Supplier Due Diligence Checklists – Checking that all key and significant suppliers and subcontractors adhere to labour laws and ethical employment standards.
  • Whistleblowing Policy – Provides employees and stakeholders with a confidential reporting mechanism for unethical or illegal labour practices.

Risk Assessment and Due Diligence

Mountpark conducts regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in its supply chain, particularly in high-risk areas such as:

  • Recruitment of construction labour through third-party agencies with respect to contractors and subcontractors.
  • Procurement of raw materials and building supplies from global suppliers.
  • Use of temporary and seasonal labour in construction projects.

To mitigate these, the following due diligence measures have been implemented:

  • Risk assessments for suppliers and contractors.
  • Ongoing monitoring and site inspections to help ensure compliance with ethical labour standards.
  • Employee training and engagement programs, including regular briefings, workshops, and grievance mechanisms.

Additionally, Mountpark has implemented modern slavery checklists to guide operational practices, ensuring compliance at all levels of the organisation.

Measuring Effectiveness and Continuous Improvement

To help ensure continuous progress in combating modern slavery, effectiveness is measured through:

  • The number and quality of supplier and subcontractor audits conducted annually.
  • Instances of non-compliance identified and corrective actions implemented.
  • Employee and supplier participation in training and awareness programs.

The Company also maintains a Remediation Record to document the support provided to identified victims of modern slavery and ensure appropriate resolution steps.

Training and Awareness

The importance of education in preventing modern slavery is paramount. To this end:

  • All employees receive training to identify and report signs of forced labour and exploitation.
  • Key suppliers and subcontractors are provided with guidelines on ethical labour practices and compliance expectations.
  • Induction training is conducted for all new employees, covering the indicators of modern slavery and reporting mechanisms.

Reporting Issues and Remediation

Mountpark has developed multiple confidential channels through which employees and stakeholders can raise concerns, including anonymous whistleblowing procedures and an independent multi-language helpline.

Approval and Publication

To enhance transparency, Mountpark publicly reports on significant modern slavery risks in its operations and supply chains. By disclosing risks and mitigation measures clearly and accurately, Mountpark aims to enhance dialogue with stakeholders and continuously improve its response.

This statement has been approved by the Mountpark Board of Directors and will be reviewed annually to help ensure ongoing compliance and improvements.
